Jack's POV

My name is Jack Rajaniemi. I hate colon cancer as much as the next pup, but you know what I hate more? When no one pets me or gives me tummy rubs... OR, wait, I know. When the cats blatantly ignore me, even though I'm staring right at them. But I love my mom. Lots. She is always so nice and she loves me very much, which makes her my favorite. MOM. MOM! I LOVE YOU! I like it when we go on walks together and then I get to pee on all the things. This is why I hate colon cancer, I will attack this cancer because I love my mom!

This^ is what happens when I leave my blog open all day. LOL
Rachel, who speaks Jack, left this for me to find. Love my people.

Anyways, pets are important. In general yes, but especially in sickness and healing. Having someone greet you at the door every single day no matter how you're feeling or what you've been through...man, it is nice. Honestly, just having them lay by your side after a crap day is a wonderful thing. They have this way of making you relax and be distracted in the best way possible.

I am an extrovert. That is an understatement. I also love my quiet time. I've spent a lot of time in prayer this last year. More than I ever have. I've found that when I have my cats or pup around I am still and find it easier to talk to God. Almost like a sense of ease falls over any room that they are in. We are in the process of getting a service dog. In the planning/research stages, but we feel like it will seriously aide in my healing process. We've just recently had a major setback in my recovery, so if you have any info you'd like to share email me!
